Hideko S. Kunii is a Director of Honda Motor Co., Ltd., Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings Inc., and Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings Corporation.
She also serves a Deputy President, the General Manager of Gender Equality Promotion Office and a Professor of Graduate School of Engineering Management of Shibaura Institute of Technology in Tokyo.

Hideko received her B.S. and M.S. in Physics from Ochanomizu University and MSc. Computer and Information Sciences from San Jose State University. She earned Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in 1983.
