The projects of Adamya Chetana have positively impacted the nourishment, learning and health of thousands of under privileged children – Anna, Akshara and Arogya

As an NGO, Adamya Chetana feeds around 2,00,000 under-privileged, needy school children with Government support. The hot nutritious midday meal is cooked at four central kitchens, at Bangalore, Hubli, Gulbarga and Jodhpur in Rajasthan.

With an innovative and path breaking approach, Adamya Chetana’s Midday meal program has become a role model for other Midday meal providers across the country.
Two major achievements of MidDay meal Kitchen of Bangalore are –

  1. established an “ZERO GARBAGE KITCHEN” which cooks meal for 50000.
  2. fuel used is “FOSSIL FREE” fuel, No Diesel, NO LPG, 100% Bio fuel is used for cooking

Other activities of Adamya Chetana include a unique mobile resource facility “Aata Paatha” covering 30 schools & benefiting 8000 children per year. The beauty of this effort is that Aata Paatha uses non-formal methods of teaching to supplement school efforts in creating interest in education.

Adamya Chetana has been a torchbearer and has created a number of unique interventions which are replicable and first of its kind in the country. One such step is “Chinnara Chetana”  – the Wall magazine of Adamya Chetana.
www.raktadan.org is a unique website, an effort in using the web for creating a virtual blood bank for the benefit of those needing blood.
